Periodic Inspection
Fall protection, walkway and guardrail systems must be periodically inspected to ensure they remain safe, functional and compliant with applicable standards. XTR Safety provides periodic inspection services for all systems it manufactures and installs, issuing a formal inspection certificate upon completion.
Why Periodic Inspection Is Required
Working at height systems are subject to environmental exposure, mechanical wear and structural changes over time. Regular inspection identifies any deterioration, damage or non-compliance before it becomes a safety risk. For XTR Safety systems, periodic inspection is also a condition of the manufacturer’s warranty — systems that are not inspected at the required intervals may lose their warranty coverage.
What the Inspection Covers
- Visual and physical inspection of all system components
- Anchor point integrity and fixing condition
- Cable, rail and connector condition
- Compliance with original design and installation drawings
- Assessment of any structural changes affecting the system
- PPE compatibility check
Inspection Certificate
Upon successful completion of the inspection, XTR Safety issues a formal inspection certificate confirming that the system is in safe working condition and that the manufacturer’s warranty remains valid. Where deficiencies are identified, a remediation report is issued with recommended corrective actions.
Inspection Intervals
XTR Safety recommends annual inspection for all fall protection, walkway and guardrail systems. The required inspection interval may vary depending on the system type, environmental conditions and applicable local regulations. Our team will advise on the appropriate inspection schedule for your installation.

Periodic inspection is available internationally for all XTR Safety installations. Our inspection teams hold relevant international occupational safety certifications and IRATA qualifications.
